The Monsterpalooza event will be returning to SoCal this May, showcasing everything related to special effects, makeup, and movie monsters.
The convention will feature a number of celebrity guests from the history of fantasy, horror and science fiction films. This year’s guest include rock legends Alice Cooper, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward; actors Geena Davis, Katey Sagal, and Thomas Jane; and many more. The “Monsterpalooza Theatre” will feature panel and presentations focused on particular films and topics, including commentary from actors, directors, and artists.
Panels will include topics ranging from Classic Hollywood to recent horror hits like Weapons and Terrifier. One of the main attractions will be the Monsterpalooza Museum, featuring replicas and original props and animatronics of classic movie monsters. The Museum also includes new creations from the top special effects studios. The event will look to attract film fans from nearby areas like Glendale and Los Angeles.
The convention will include over 450 exhibitors offering unique pop culture products and live experiences like makeup demonstrations. Vendors include Alternate Ending Oddities, Legends Makeup Academy, and The Golem of Venice Beach.
