The event sees 300 to 400 classic cars from before 1985, exotic imports, and modified vehicles line the streets of Glendale. There will be awards given out by judges in honor of local officials, such as the Mayor’s Trophy, Director of Public Works Trophy, and Greater Downtown Glendale Association Trophy. Categories may be changed at judges’ discretion.
Cruise Night also includes a line-up of live music and entertainment, hosted by “Mr. Rock N’ Roll” Brian Beirne. The night typically draws over 45, 000 attendees. Bike Glendale will provide valet services for bicycles and scooters on site, in addition to car parking and public transit options. Advertising for the event emphasizes its wide appeal:
“Whether you’re crazy for cars or just looking for a great time, there’s something for everyone at Cruise Night.”
This year will be the 31rst annual edition of Cruise Night and a full circle moment for the event, which originated when the nearby Rose Bowl hosted World Cup games in 1994. The night is hosted with the support of volunteers and local sponsors. Car shows and other events often use banner printing and speeches to help recognize contributors.
The 2026 edition of Glendale Cruise Night will take place on Brand Boulevard on the evening of July 18.
