Dune buggy enthusiasts and others who like to play in the sand have an event to look forward to next month.
The OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa will be the venue for the upcoming Sand Sports Super Show, a three-day expo that draws thousands of enthusiasts who come to see the latest equipment, Apparel, accessories, and more.
Equipment dealers will have ATVs, UTVs (also known as side-by-sides as that is the seating arrangement), and Sand Rails. A Sand Rail is an off-road vehicle made exclusively for use on sand. It is similar to a dune buggy but is not the same, as it is usually much more stripped down, being only a framework.
In addition to the vehicles and other equipment, a “Proving Grounds” exhibit will be open all three days. This is a track where professional drivers will highlight specially built vehicles, concentrating on the Ultra4 Class – a heavy-duty, rugged vehicle. Pre-Runners and UTVs will also be on hand, and drivers will be available to give autographs after each session.
The show hours are September 15, from 4.00 pm until 10.00 pm; September 16, from 9.00 am until 7.00 pm; and September 17, from 9.00 am until 4.00 pm. Organizers of events of this kind could use flyer printing to create handouts for attendees, including a map of the exhibits and a schedule of events.
