Celtic Woman is an Irish musical group comprised entirely of women. The ensemble was created in 2004 by television director and producer Avril MacRory, as well as producers David “Dave” Kavannagh and Sharon Brown, and David Downes, musical director. Downes was formerly a musical director for the fantastically successful show “Riverdance.” The executives put together the group specifically to participate in an event in Dublin.
Downes was careful to select a repertoire that included everything from modern songs to traditional Celtic melodies, and recruited five Irish women musicians who had not worked together before. The original lineup was Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, Lisa Kelly, Órla Fallon, and Chloë Agnew as vocalists, with Máiréad Nesbitt on the fiddle.
The group released their self-titled debut album in 2004, which was only the beginning of a recording career that now includes 27 albums, three of which have been certified Platinum. They appear sporadically on PBS, and have received the Billboard World Album Artist of the Year six times.

Celtic Woman will be at the Segerstrom Center For The Arts on December 15 and 16. The Pacific Symphony Orchestra is also on the program. Hosts of events like this can use poster printing to create gorgeous advertisements for them.
