Pacific Symphony is presenting a family-centered performance of The Nutcracker for Kids, a condensed version of Tchaikovsky’s celebrated ballet crafted with children in mind.
The show features dancers from the American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School and a narrated storyline that follows Clara into the Land of Sweets. Characters – including the Nutcracker, the Mouse King, and the Sugar Plum Fairy – appear throughout, with music drawn from popular holiday scores.
The concert experience will extend beyond the stage. Families arriving early can take part in themed lobby activities such as games, crafts, and a petting zoo of instruments. These activities occur from 9 to 9:45 am for the morning concert and from 12:15 to 1 pm for the later show. Image magnification technology will be used inside the hall, giving the audience close views of the musicians and dancers.
Tickets are priced between $66 and $132 and are available through the official event listing. Attendees can also contact the box office via phone at (714) 755-5799 for ticket details or to make purchases.
Organizers also note that local promotion, including flyer printing, may help broaden community awareness and engagement with the program.
The Nutcracker for Kids will be performed on Saturday, December 6th, at 10 am and 11:30 am at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, 615 Town Center Dr, Costa Mesa, California.
