New Year’s Eve in Costa Mesa will be celebrated with The English Beat.
The band has an extensive list of hit songs and albums, and will share the excitement in ringing in the New Year in style with Costa Mesa locals and visitors.
Some of the notable songs for The English Beat group include “Can’t Get Used to Losing You,” “Best Friend,” “Mirror in the Bathroom,” and “Hands Off She’s Mine.” These singles appeared on their first album. The second album, titled “Wha’ppen?,” took off as the group embarked on an extensive tour across the United States along with the Talking Heads and the Pretenders. They ended up on the Top 40 in the UK Singles Chart with hits that included “All out to Get You,” “Doors of Your Heart,” and “Drowning.”
