An event is scheduled for Costa Mesa that will allow those who provide rental housing to meet others in the industry.
The Magic of the Multifamily Industry is the subject of the 52nd Annual Trade Show and Conference put on by the Apartment Association of Orange County. The show brings together housing providers with over 100 vendors in the industry, and gives them the chance to watch maintenance demonstrations, attend seminars, network, and more.
Among the topics is a talk entitled “You’ve Had a Death in the Unit . . . Now What?” Joe DeCarlo, CRE, CCIM, CPM, MBA, will discuss the protocols and steps that must be followed to deal with the operational, financial, and legal problems that can arise in this extreme situation.
Other less sensational subjects include the economic outlook for the rental market, handling past-due rent and evictions, how to screen pets and companion animals, when it is necessary to make accommodations and what kind, and why diversity and inclusion are good for business.
Maintenance specialists will demonstrate deck care, painting techniques and tips, issues with water heaters and plumbing, and caring for vinyl floors.
The event is scheduled for March 30 at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. Organizers of shows of this type may use flyer printing to create handouts with the schedule of events, as well as a list of exhibitors, making it simple for attendees to find the people and talks they wish to see.
