Costa Mesa residents looking for a holiday experience while still complying with current health orders can light up their holidays from the comfort of their own vehicles.
Night of Lights OC is a one-mile stretch of dazzling light displays animated to music. The event’s website says it features more than one million lights, plus bubbles, snow flurries and of course, Santa.
The event is put on by WinterFest OC, which due to this year’s health concerns has designed an event that follows all health protocols while still giving residents and families a holiday experience.
Tickets are $39.99 per vehicle for weekday evenings. Fridays and Sundays the tickets are $49.99, and Saturdays the tickets are $59.99 per vehicle. Tickets must be purchased online beforehand as there is a limited number of timeslots available between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
When purchasing tickets, residents can also order food to enjoy in their vehicles during their visit. Menu options vary from cookie baskets to tamales or chicken tenders.
Banner printing is a great way to add decor to events such as this one, and also recognize the help of corporate and community sponsors.
Due to the animated light tunnels, all vehicles entering the event must be under eight feet tall. Buses, RVs, and limos are not allowed.
Night of Lights OC runs from this coming Thursday, December 10 to Sunday, January 10 at the Orange County Fair and Event Center, 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa.
