Cocktail fans will revel in an upcoming event that promises to refine and enhance understanding of fine spirits.
The International Orange County Spirits Tasting showcases more than 30 different spirits along with entertainment and food.
Visitors will be allowed to judge and evaluate their favorite spirits in a host of categories, including vodka, rum, whiskey, scotch, bourbon, gin, tequila, mescal, liqueurs, sake and infused spirits.
Visitors will blind taste samples to see if they can identify their favorite brands, and will be educated on identifying the subtle flavors of fine spirits. There will also be prizes handed out throughout the afternoon.
Tickets are between $60 and $120, and participants must be 21 or older to attend. Cocktail attire is required. There will be a DJ and a professional photographer at the event.
Participants may not be involved in the spirits industry, although servers and bartenders are welcome to attend. All the samples are served undiluted and chilled. Events such as these can use printing services for Signs and Banners.
The International Orange County Spirits Tasting is scheduled to take place Saturday, July 11 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, 1107 Jamboree Road, in Newport Beach, 5 miles southeast of Costa Mesa. Event organizers suggest arriving 15 minutes beforehand to ensure a seat at a tasting table.
