Fans of European martial arts have an event coming up that will appeal to them.
For those who feel more comfortable with a sword in their hand than any other weapon, the upcoming SoCal Swordfight 2024 is likely to be perfect. The conference is the largest Historical European Martial Arts tournament in the world.
The event offers exhibits, vendors, hands-on classes, tournaments, and a lot more. Instructions from throughout the United States and beyond will lead more than 100 hours of in-depth lectures and interactive classes, where students will have a chance to learn new skills and refine older ones. Some modern self-defense and tactical techniques will also be briefly examined.
Among the instructors and their subjects is Arthur Henry, a fencing instructor and seasoned competitor with almost 20 years’ experience. He is experienced with Italian rapier, French foil, and more, and has won medals in categories such as longsword, and rapier and dagger. He is a member of the Sacramento Historical Fencing Academy. Rashelle DeBolt is an instructor of saber, broadsword, and longsword at the Northern Nevada chapter of the Noble Science.
Tournaments are also an exciting part of the event, and these include contests in longsword, rapier and dagger, and saber.
SoCal Swordfight 2024 is scheduled for February 16 to 18 at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. When events like this are planned, organizers will often promote them with the help of poster printing experts.
