Chino to host nighttime equestrian event

The annual full moon trail ride and cobbler contest is set to return to Chino this fall.

This event was created by the Prado Park Equestrian Center. Carol Serpa founded the center in 1976, and it began as a small stable that housed seven horses. Within 24 years, the number of horses at the center had increased to 120, and the Prado Equestrian Center featured five arenas, a tack store, and hosted regular trail rides, children’s camps, and horse shows. Now run by Jennifer Serpa, the center continues to thrive.

This equestrian event will involve a three-mile trail ride at a relaxed pace. Chino residents may also bring homemade cobbler to receive the opportunity to win a prize. When hosting similar events, organizers frequently choose poster printing as an effective way to advertise locally.

Entry to this evening event is free for riders who wish to sign up. Horse owners can bring their mares or geldings, but no stallions are permitted.

The full moon trail ride and cobbler contest is scheduled to take place at Prado Lake on Sunday, November 29. Registration will take place between 6:00 pm and 6:45 pm. The ride will begin at 7:00 pm and continue for one and a half to two hours. The last event, the cobbler contest, will begin at 9:00 pm.
