Chino offers complimentary compost and mulch
Compost can be a gardener's secret weapon, and a Chino event will be distributing this solid amendment to the public.
A complementary compost and mulch distribution activity will be set up in the Public Works Service Yard , and they will be made available first come, first served. It's open to Chino residents only, and identification and utility bills will be checked by the staff.
To take advantage of the offer, those interested can load the mulch and compost into their own containers to take home, and both eye protection and gloves are recommended. They may take as much as half a yard of both materials, and if any is left after Chino residents have loaded up, it will be made available to everyone else. Both are made from the grass clippings and other organic waste collected by the city’s Public Works system. They will be free of plant pathogens and viable weed seeds, and will be blended so that water can penetrate.
Keeping the public informed about upcoming events can be made easier with assistance of a flyer printing company. They can prepare a variety of informational materials to send by mail, hand out at events and distribute in other ways.
