Chino wants to be a community where everyone feels welcome, and an upcoming event may go a long way towards making sure that happens.
The city’s Neighbourhood Family Fair will have a theme of “where all abilities shine:, and the Chino Fairgrounds will serve as its location. Anyone interested can stop by during its four hour run time, and it will celebrate Disabilities Awareness Month.
The function will showcase the role disabled people can play in their community when given the opportunity to do so, and there is no entry fee being charged. Families with a disabled member can find out about the support that may be helpful to them, and area businesses have also been invited to set up a booth or display. There will be attractions such as a petting zoo, inflatables, a photo booth, face painters, food trucks and other fun. A raffle draw will see some of the attendees go home with a prize.
A resource fair connects the public with services and supports they may find helpful, providing one stop hopping style experience. A brochure printing company can prepare information packets for potential vendors as well as other helpful materials.
Chino will be showing those with disabilities that they are valued members of their community on March 14th. The festivities are set to kick off at 10:00 am.
