Fall is fast approaching, and in Chino that means it is almost time for a day filled with family fun, free of charge.
Early October will see the Chino Basin Water Conservation District and its corporate, civic, and other partners bring Waterwise Garden & Pumpkin Fest back for another year. It is intended to be an all-ages celebration, and while they enjoy themselves, everyone in attendance will be learning how some simple steps can make a big impact when it comes to being resourceful with water.
The activity, which will be a combination of a community festival and a resource fair, will offer crafting and other activities for the kids, and face painters will be on hand. Everyone can choose a bite to eat from one or more of the food vendors, and a plant sale is in the works. Pumpkins will be taking pride of place, with a pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, and fall succulent arranging sessions all part of the proceedings.
Along with the rest of the fun, the attendees will be invited to browse through the materials on offer at the resource tables. There will be Promotional Products and other items, and they can all help raise awareness of the importance of water conservation.
Chino individuals and families who would like to learn how they can live a more sustainable lifestyle are encouraged to attend the event on Saturday, October 4 at the Waterwise Community Center in Montclair.
