Art exhibit to explore in Show Low

The Talon Gallery from out of Northland Pioneer College is hosting an art show known as the "Locally Grown 2025" exhibition.

Students and locals from Apache and Navajo Counties have created artwork specifically for this exhibition. Ceramics, 3D items, and colored pencil drawings are among the works on exhibit. The display can be found at the Aspen Center on NPC's Show Low campus in White Mountain. Printing services can be enlisted to put up art displays.

Heather Spontak, a ceramicist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts after studying at East Tennessee State University, is the juror for this year's display. Spontak currently resides in Arizona after using her portable pottery workshop to create in numerous western states. In her distinctive artwork, she concentrates on elements from everyday life and the natural world and chooses pieces that reflect several genres.

The public can view the "Locally Grown" display for free. The gallery is open Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, and on Fridays until 4:00 pm. On college holidays and weekends, the gallery is closed. On December 5th, from 4:00 pm, there will be an awards ceremony as well as a closing event. Cash awards will be given to the artists who place in the top three.

The exhibition is now open to the public, and the art will be on show until the awards ceremony on Friday, December 5.
