Bands and food trucks will go head-to-head in Show Low soon.
Show Low Main Street is presenting the Battle of the Bands and Food Vans, an event that drew more than 2,600 attendees last time. Organizers are hoping even more people will join in the fun this year. The event comprises two different competitions held at the same time—food and music.
The contest begins with each of the bands playing one set of their music while at the same time, spectators relax with friends and family. While they listen to the music, people can enjoy cold beverages and taste the food from all the contestants. The festival organizers will select a total of nine food vans and eight bands to take part in the contest.
Each of the bands will begin playing their set on the hour, starting at 12:00 pm, with the final band beginning its performance at 7:00 pm. Vans are limited to food vendors including beverages, desserts, food, and novelty foods.
When they plan fun events like this, organizers can work with banner printing companies to create decorations that will work outdoors.
The battle is scheduled for August 30, from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Frontier Field. There is a $5 per person entry fee, which can be paid at the gate. Youngsters aged 12 and under will be admitted free when they are accompanied by a paying adult. The gates will open at 11:00 am.
