Aviation conference near Show Low

An upcoming conference in Show Low will focus on issues facing the aviation industry.

The Show Low Regional Airport is hosting the 2025 Annual "Dutch Bertholf" Spring Conference, a semi-annual event of the Arizona Airports Association (AzAA). The organization’s bylaws mandate that it must hold two events annually, in the spring and fall.

The upcoming spring event is named for Neilson A. Bertholf, known as “Dutch,” who spent more than 50 years working in aviation. He was instrumental in founding AzAA and worked as the Director of the City of Phoenix Aviation Department, and oversaw Goodyear Airport, Deer Valley Airport, and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

The conference includes outings such as a golf tournament and a chance to go fishing at Woodland Lake, special events including a welcome reception, a president’s reception, and a tour of Show Low Regional Airport, but the majority of the gathering is devoted to presentations about various aspects of aviation.

Among the subjects of the sessions are advanced air mobility, an update on the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), an update on current legislation, and a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) update and roundtable discussion. Experts from the aviation industry will act as moderators.

The “Dutch Bertholf” Spring Conference is scheduled for April 27 to 29, at the Hon-Dah Resort Casino and Conference Center in Pinetop, a short distance from Show Low. Organizers of complex events like this can work with flyer printing to create a handout with a list of activities and sessions.
