What's Happening in Flagstaff, AZ…

The University of Arizona will be presenting its 47th Annual Arizona Rural Health Conference in mid-June.

The two-day event will feature practice models, building partnership strategies, funding opportunities, building and sustaining rural healthcare and economy for Arizona’s Southwestern rural and tribal communities.

This year’s theme will be Resiliency Amid a Pandemic: Rural Arizona Challenges and Successes. Individual registration for both days will be $230, or $150 for just Tuesday and $90 for just Wednesday. Virtual registration for both days will be $90, or $50 for either of the two days.

During the breaks, a slide presentation will be ongoing and fees for two slides placed in the presentation will be $50. Sponsorships are available at the $1,500 silver level and $500 copper level.

Registration comes with continental breakfasts, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks, and lunch. Tuesday’s reception will also be included in the regular and first day registrations.

Abstracts for poster presentations are being presented to the planning committee. The Posters will be about healthcare workforce, structural and social determinants or indicators of health, economic development or mitigation preparedness and efforts.

Poster presentation submissions will be reviewed on three-to-five minute videos. Criteria will include relevance to theme, focus, clarity. Presenters may want to speak to local poster printing companies in preparation.

The conference will be June 15 and 16, beginning at 8:00 am at High Country Conference Center Flagstaff, 201 West Butler Avenue.
