Flagstaff’s Theatrikos Theatre Company has six plays scheduled for its 2021 season.
The first play will be “Well,” a wild and witty look at grown children’s view of their parents who they see as living “in an alternative universe.” It will be staged from January 29 through April 18.
“A Doll’s House, Part 2” will take the stage from March 26 through April 18. In uproarious fashion, Nora returns to the household 15 years after she burned the residence to the ground.
“Stage Kiss” will have two actors as leads in a 1930’s romantic comedy losing touch with reality as they kindle an old romance. The play will begin on May 28 and end on June 13.
A prize-winning garden is put into jeopardy as a fence line becomes the focus of a backyard battle in “Native Gardens.” Feuding neighbors challenge ideas of good taste, privilege, and race in a boisterous play that opens July 23 and closes on August 15.
“I Hate Hamlet” is performed from October 1 through 17. Here, a desperate TV actor takes a role in a stage production of the Shakespearean tragedy.
The final play for 2021 will be a live radio play of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” This holiday classic will run from November 26 through December 19.
