The 2020 Ahoy to Summer Children’s Health & Wellness Fair will be in late April, although the date should be checked as the event approaches due to the changing COVID-19 landscape.
This will be an opportunity for parents to get information regarding camps and summer activities that will be available for Flagstaff kids over the summer. There will also be free health screenings, services, and education opportunities and information. Free sports physicals will be available onsite. Information will be presented on water, medication, and sun safety. The event will have giveaways and raffle prizes.
Kids will get to experience activities at the activity stations and enjoy face painting and balloon artists. Free swim passes will be given to those children who complete the event’s passport.
Exhibitors will have activities, products, services, tests, games, and demonstrations specifically geared to children. Some of the tests, services, and products will have a small fee. Businesses that exhibit at events such as this often have Business Cards with them for those wishing to contact them later for future purchases.
Exhibitors that are usually at these children expos are public libraries, Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, dance academies, guidance centers, kid fitness centers, Head Start programs, and local county parks and recreation departments. Local pediatric and orthodontic care centers are usually interested as well.
The event will be at the Flagstaff Aquaplex on Saturday, April 25 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
