The Commerce/Vora Financial Holiday Parade of Lights 2021 is now taking applications for its traditional December march through Historic Downtown Flagstaff. More than 100 entries are expected to participate.
The Commerce/Vora Financial Holiday Parade of Lights will begin at Elm and Beaver. From Beaver it will proceed to Aspen, on to San Francisco and end back at Elm.
Units may have marchers handing out candy, coupons, and promotional items to spectators. All participants and entries must use some type of lighting. Floats cannot be more than 35 feet long, 8 feet wide and 13 feet high, and must be made of inflammable materials.
Registration fee will be $75 and is limited to one float, commercial size vehicle or flatbed, or three standard size vehicles and up to 35 people with a maximum of 30 words in the Emcee announcement. Anything more will require another entrance fee. Registration will close at 100 entries or December 1st.
Entry applications may be filled out either online at The Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce website or printed from the site and sent to the Chamber at 101 W. Route 66.
Many entrants like to sign up as early as possible in holiday parades like this so they have plenty of time to get their float and seasonal banner printing done.
The parade will be from 6:00 pm until approximately 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 11th. The event will be held rain or shine but cancelled or reschedules in case of extreme weather.
