Flagstaff Whale Foundation holds yearly fundraiser

The Whale Foundation here in Flagstaff will be holding its 23rd annual Wing Ding in early March.

Culinary Concepts Southwest will be catering the dinner, David Haskell's artwork will be on display, and there will be plenty of music. Individuals and national and local companies are donating items for the silent auction, which will be at the event but also open online on the day before. Groups that have silent auctions often use Posters, tickets and other paper products from nearby Print shops.

Proceeds will go to the foundation, supporting programs that serve the Grand Canyon guide community. General admission will be $25, and tickets are available on the Orpheum Theater Ticketing Platform and at the box office.

Five sponsorships are available for purchase. All sponsors will get Whale Foundation logo stickers, and their logos on the event's webpage, sponsor list, and posted on social media. Those purchasing the Lava Falls at the $5,000 level will need to get their logo to the organizers before any banner printing gets done.

The Whale Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides Grand Canyon River guides with physical and mental health services. Although there is no parking at the facility, there is plenty of it in nearby streets and parking garages.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 1st from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Orpheum Theater, 15 W Aspen Avenue.
