Flagstaff has annual chocolate walk

The Flagstaff Visitor Center will be hosting its 6th Flagstaff Chocolate Walk as the flagship event of the Valentine Day season.

Tickets run from $5 to $8 and kids up to and including five years old will be free. Guests will receive maps of those downtown locations participating when they get their chocolate passports upon registration. They will then stroll around exploring shops and businesses while sampling chocolates and chocolate-based treats.

Each stop will stamp the passports for attendees to amass points for a grand prize drawing. In order to participate in the drawing, guests must stop to at least five businesses and return their passports to the Center between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

Chocolate-eating participants will also get to vote for the business that they deem has the best offerings, with a prize for the winner. Guests are also invited to send photos of their chocolate stroll experiences to social media with the hashtag #FLGchocolatewalk to be considered for yet another prize.

Families, especially those with little ones, usually like to take pictures of their youngsters sporting chocolate covered faces as they go from store to store. These photos can be taken to local Stationery printers to be added to next year’s family Calendars.

The 2020 Chocolate Walk will begin in the Flagstaff Visitor Center’s train station building, One E. Route 66 on Saturday, February 1 at 11:00 am.
