Flagstaff enjoys film festival

Many local film enthusiasts will be heading for the 2025 Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival coming in early April.

The annual event will be a collection of environmental, socially thought-provoking, indigenous, and outdoor-adventure films from around the globe.

Films over the five days will be screened according to their topics. Seven adventure films will be shown on the first night, Wednesday, April 2, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Snow Mountain River, 2560 N. Fourth Street. On Thursday, April 3, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Flagstaff Climbing Gym will feature five movies that deal with climbing.

For Friday, April 4 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the Orpheum Theater will have a Celebration of the Grand Canyon Spirit with five films. The Orpheum will also have a Community Session from noon to 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 5. That will be followed at 3:00 pm with seven movies with the topic Rad Women Rock. Later that evening, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the theater will turn the topic to Indigenous Voices with seven films.

Finally, on Sunday, April 6 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, the Beaver St. Theatre, 11 South Beaver Street, will end the film festival with two films on the theme of Love the Planet. One will be Roots and the other will be Cigarette Surfboard.

General admission for each session will be $15. Festival supporters occasionally get flyer printing arranged at local Print shops.
