Flagstaff celebrates summer with two festivals

Flagstaff will be going outside and enjoying the summer weather at two festivals – one in June, one in July.

This will be the 11th year for Flagstaff Hullabaloo, coming in early June. This community festival traditionally has costume contests, giant puppets, local vendors, a bike parade and performances on two stages. There is always a giant area for the kids. Proceeds will go to local non-profit organizations.

Performers will include Sister Carol, Erica Falls, Mestizo Beat, Pass the Butter, Adam Bruce and Rose’s Pawn Shop.

Flagstaff Hullabaloo is slated for 10:00 am until 9:00 pm Saturday, June 6th and from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm Sunday, June 7th at Wheeler Park, 212 W. Aspen Avenue.

Soon after, Flagstaff Summer Fest will come in early July. This will be a three-day 4th of July celebration with lots of international food, music on two stages, and art. Around 100 craftspeople and artists have been selected to showcase and sell their original works. Some genres will include jewelry, furniture, fashion, ceramics, sculpture, and paintings.

Artists and craftspeople usually carry Business Cards with them if anyone wishes to contact them after the festival. The festival will also feature a large interactive art area.

Summer Fest will be from Friday, July 3rd at 10:00 am to Sunday, July 5th until 5:00 pm at Fort Tuthill County Park, 2446 For Tuthill Loop. General admission will be $10 per day.
