Flagstaff will be celebrating the holidays with traditional music, ballet, and film.
The Flagstaff Symphony, the Flagstaff Youth Chorale, and the NAU Community Music and Dance Academy Troupe will present Peter Tchaikovsky’s beloved Christmas tradition, The Nutcracker Ballet, op. 71.
Two performances are scheduled - on December 6 and 7 – both at 7:30 pm at the Ardrey Memorial Auditorium. Tickets range from $20 to $74.
A special Nutcracker Lollipop, which is a concert for little ones, will be Saturday, December 7 starting at 2:00 pm. Adult tickets will be $20 each and will include a free child’s ticket.
An Annual Flagstaff Community Band Holiday Concert & Movie will be at the Orpheum Theater from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on December 8. The band will play traditional Christmas songs and the film will be “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Admission will be two nonperishable food items, which will be donated to the Flagstaff Family Food Center.
On December 15, Master Chorale of Flagstaff will celebrate the holiday season with its annual Christmas in the Mountains concert at the NAU Auditoria, 1115 S. Knoles Drive. Guest performers will be the Flagstaff Youth Chorale, Harter Handbell Choir, and the Flagstaff High School Choir along with the guest orchestra. The curtain will go up at 2:00 pm.
Parents of children in special music events like these sometimes like to have flyer printing done to get the word out.
