Busy weekend of festivals set to excite Flagstaff

Downtown Flagstaff will be buzzing with things to do over the first weekend of October, with two notable events on offer.

On the morning of Friday, October 6, The Box Studio and the Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance will be presenting the 2023 Flagstaff Fitness Festival.

From 4:00pm to 7:00pm on the day, guests may check in pick up packages relating to the event at the Box Studio pop-up on 121 E. Birch Avenue.

On Saturday, October 7, attendees are invited to attend four of six classes consisting of cycling, yoga, Zuma, Group stretch, sound meditation, and HIIT (high-intensity interval training). From 1:00pm to 1:15pm, a group stretch will take place in Heritage Square, along with a Lululemon raffle drawing.

Tickets are available for $50. These include classes, raffle tickets, and complementary t- shirts. Items such as clothing for events like this often feature the event’s logo design.

On the same Saturday, Noble Herb will be presenting the 14th Annual Flagstaff Oktoberfest. Musical guests including Summit Dub Squad and the High 90s Tribute Band will perform on the main stage. Oktoberfest-themed races, drinking, bratwurst eating, costume and frozen t-shirt contests will be held throughout the day on the contest stage.

Admission tickets are priced at $7.00, although kids 12 and under get in free.

The 14th Annual Flagstaff Oktoberfest will be held on Saturday, October 7 from 11am to 8:00pm in Wheeler Park in downtown Flagstaff, 212 W Aspen Avenue.
