Springdale youth basketball shootout to develop athletic skills

Mid America Youth Basketball (MAYB) will be holding a spring shootout in Springdale for children interested in the sport.

The Spring Shootout is a tournament where participants play in teams of boys and girls. There will be three ability divisions, including Developmental, Competitive, and Elite. Each child will be guaranteed to play three games during the event. During the competition, teams are grouped by grade, and there is an age cut-off to prevent unfair matchups. Once the event is completed, the results can be found on the MAYB’s website. Playing schedules will also be posted online.

The MAYB first began promoting and organizing youth basketball tournaments in 1993. The organization has hosted more than 170 summer tournaments involving 3,700 teams. Proceeds earned during the basketball games stay in the community, and all events held by the MAYB are locally hosted and sponsored. The group also has an online store where fans can buy custom Apparel like tank tops, hoodies, and T-Shirts. Organizations can increase their visibility by customizing their clothing with unique Logo Design.

The shootout will be held on April 24th and April 25th and will cost $175 per student to enter. All registrations must be completed on the MAYB website. Each team at the game must have two colors to wear. People can visit the website for a full schedule of MAYB-organized tournaments throughout the year.
