Springdale is preparing for its annual Springdale Teacher Appreciation Event this August, held to honor all the city’s educators and provide a high-energy kick-off to the new school year.
Presented by Sam’s Furniture and the Springdale Chamber of Commerce, the teacher appreciation event was created 60 years ago to give thanks to Springdale Public School’s educators for all their hard work, contribution, and dedication to the community and the local school children. The event is currently the country’s largest teacher appreciation-related event with over $120,000 in gifts donated and over 2,000 teachers celebrated.
The event will feature a complimentary meal for all teachers and will have 80 Springdale Chamber members with vendor booths participating in the vendor fair, as well as 120 volunteers helping everything run smoothly. There will be thousands of dollars in gift giveaways to be awarded to attendees, and both first-year teachers and 25-year-plus teachers will be recognized.
Events with gift giveaways may also have sponsor and vendor contributions, such as Promotional Products and more expensive items.
The Springdale Teacher Appreciation Event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 5. It will be held at Springdale High School, located at 101 South Pleasant Street, Springdale. Businesses wishing to become sponsors or donate gifts, or individuals interested in becoming volunteers will need to reach out by phone or email to organizers.
