Next month, the 48th Annual Ozark Quilt Fair will be held in Springdale to celebrate the regional quilting tradition, commune with fellow quilters, and introduce newcomers to the quilting fold.
The quilt fair will be hosted by the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, a museum featuring exhibits and programs related to the Arkansas Ozarks’ six counties. The museum takes its name Shiloh from the pioneer community of the same name, which was eventually named Springdale.
The Ozark Quilt Fair highlights the deep history that quilting has in the Springdale area and offers a welcoming atmosphere for all those interested in the craft. There will be a quilt exhibition where people can enter their quilts for a chance to win awards and recognition. There will also be free quilt-related art activities for all ages. Other activities include live music and a scavenger hunt. Food vendors will be selling nachos, hot dogs, and lemonade.

The Ozark Quilt Fair is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 12 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Shiloh Museum of Ozark History is located at 118 West Johnson Avenue, Springdale.
