Artist to showcase original work at Springdale music venue

The Medium in Springdale will hold an event in February where people can see a performance by Joel Darling.

Those interested in supporting local artists can attend a concert that is part of the Mixtape Music Series by the Creative Exchange Fund. The headlining act for the event is Joel Darling, a musician currently working on a project titled Half Power. Darling’s work aims to impact listeners in a positive way and offer them a peaceful space for reflection. The Mixtape Music Series is an inclusive event for all ages that will only feature original work produced by Darling.

The Creative Exchange Fund is a program that supports artists and cultural organizers by giving them the space and resources for taking risks and sharing their performances with Downtown Springdale. There are many notable artists in this year’s program, like Lyshell ReAnn McBride, Lena Regina Smith, and Ruby Rite. The fund supports five different opportunities for artists, including the Spectra Series, the Medium Artist Residencies, and The Platform.

Joel Darling’s performance will be held on February 18 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. There is no need for eventgoers to register in advance for the concert. Guests also do not have to purchase tickets to attend the event. Music venues that showcase local talent like this may use banner printing services to make high-visibility displays that promote their concerts.
