Springdale to celebrate Salvadoran culture
The Salvadoreños Unidos Para Arkansas (SUPA) will organize a festival at The Jones Center in Springdale.
The Salvadoran Festival is a community event where people can learn about El Salvador and its culture through live performances and authentic cuisine. Attendees will get to hear music with a Salvadoran rhythm and watch vibrant, energetic dances. The performers for this year’s fest will include Jenni Rivera and Los Indecentes. DJ Angelito will also be at the event. People can purchase Salvadoran souvenirs and handcrafted goods from on-site vendors.
SUPA is an organization comprised of Salvadoran volunteers who wish to promote their culture to those in Arkansas while offering support to people in El Salvador, Mexico, and the United States. The nonprofit group was established in 2016. SUPA is involved in many projects, such as constructing schools, paying hospital bills, and offering legal immigration services. The organization has been sponsored by companies like IAM Creative and Cafe con Chisme.
The Salvadoran Festival will take place on Saturday, August 2nd from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. There is no cost to enter the fest and enjoy the performances, and registration is not required for the experience. People can support the festival and SUPA by making a donation to the organization. Nonprofits that host cultural festivals like this can promote these experiences to more families by using poster printing services.
