The Humane Society of the Ozarks (HSO) will be holding a special event in August at the Sassafras Springs Vineyard in Springdale.
Dog Days of Summer is a fundraiser where dog lovers and their canines are invited to explore the Sassafras Springs Vineyard while raising money for a good cause. The activity will have door prizes for attendees and a silent auction. 10% of the food and drink sales earned at the event will be donated to the HSO. Merchandise from the organization will also be available to purchase while attending the fundraiser.
The HSO was founded in 1946 to promote the ethical treatment of animals through education and advocacy. The group conducts cruelty investigations to remove pets from negative situations and helps the animals find safe forever homes. Events hosted by the HSO include its Annual Putt for Paws and Tails of Love. People can also view adoptable pets on the organization’s website. Groups with causes similar to this can spread their message to others by using poster printing.
The fundraiser will occur on Sunday, August 1st from noon to 5:00 pm. No registration is needed to attend and all guests can enter the vineyard for free. People who wish to help the HSO can apply to become a volunteer or donate on the group’s website.
