The 23rd Christmas Parade of the Ozarks and Christmas on the Creek will be coming at the end of November.
Live music and the lighting of a giant Christmas tree will kick off the holidays in Springdale. The traditional Handmade Winter Market will again have local artists’ handmade items and there will be plenty of family activities.
Christmas on the Creek will take place in downtown Springdale at 106 W. Emma Avenue from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm, November 30.
Lighted floats and vehicles, horses, car clubs, bands, dance teams, buggies, wagons, marching and walking units, complete with color guards, will step off at 6:00 pm at Parson’s Stadium, proceed west down Emma Avenue, end at Harris Street, turn onto Johnson Street and disband. The theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas Vacation.”
Spectators, especially the children, lining the streets can look forward to receiving wrapped candy from people accompanying the floats. Children will be looking forward to seeing Santa who will be at the end of the parade.
Entries in large parades like this one usually like to get some banner printing done ahead of time so they will have Banners announcing their arrival.
Rodeo of the Ozarks’ Christmas Parade will be Saturday, November 30 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm. If the weather becomes an issue, announcements will be made on the radio and on the stadium answering machine. A rain date, if needed, has been scheduled for December 2.
