Make-A-Wish will hold a fundraiser walk in April at the Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.
The Walk For Wishes is an event where community members can unite to fund life-changing wishes for children who battle critical illnesses. The walk will begin with a VIP breakfast for wish families and event sponsors. There will also be a Wish World Carnival held at the walk.
This year’s fundraiser aims to help Make-A-Wish raise $250,000. People can create teams or raise money individually to earn a commemorative tee. Participants must raise at least $100 to get a custom Walk For Wishes shirt. Those who want to volunteer at the walk can help with event-day registrations and become members of the fundraiser’s Leadership Committee.
Make-A-Wish is an organization that brings joy and hope to children who have critical illnesses by granting their wishes. The charity started in 1980 and has granted over 500,000 wishes since its formation. There are 59 chapters of the foundation, and more than 34,000 volunteers assist the group with granting wishes.
The fundraiser walk will be on Saturday, April 13th. The event will serve breakfast at 9:00 am, and the walk will start at 10:00 am. There is no cost to attend the walk, and fundraising teams can register for free.
