Springdale to offer workshop about programmable controllers

Keathley-Patterson Electric in Springdale will host a course in February about ControlLogix systems.

ControlLogix System Fundamentals is a workshop where people can learn how to use ControlLogix® and Studio 5000 Logix Designer® to complete tasks and configure projects. The program is designed for those who have little to no experience with the platforms. The class will allow students to practice the skills they learn through hands-on activities at an ABT-TDCLX3-B workstation. An experienced representative from Rockwell Automation will be the instructor for the workshop.

The two-day course will cover lots of information with attendees. The first day of the program will teach students about the fundamentals of control systems, how to locate ControlLogix system components, and how to modify a Studio 5000 Logix Designer Project. The second day will include information about monitoring data in a Studio 5000 Logix Designer Project and how to verify designer projects.

The workshop will be held on February 20th and February 21st, from 8:00am to 4:30pm. The price to attend the course is $2,400 per student. The fees will include a student manual and a lab book. All participants in the workshop are required to know how to use a computer mouse, browse for files, and interact with windows on their computers.
