The Ozark Natural Science Center (ONSC) will hold several weeks of day camps at its new location in Springdale.
The Summer Day Camps at ONSC are a series of educational activities for children that take place between June and August. The program takes kids out on guided hikes with the ONSC’s Teacher Naturalists to conduct field investigations. Campers will also participate in eco-art projects and play games throughout each camp session. The camp guides will even give students science lessons during the program. Children are required to bring their own packed lunches.
The ONSC is an organization that helps connect people to nature through fun, hands-on experiences and nature-related programs. The group offers activities for children and adults. Rose Brown is the executive director of the ONSC, and Brent Heatherly is the organization’s operations director. The concept of the science center was formed by a group led by Ken and RuAnn Ewing in 1989, and the organization was officially incorporated in 1990.
The summer day camps from the ONSC will be held from June 10th to June 13th, June 17th to June 20th, and July 29th to August 1st. Each day at camp will last from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. The program is intended for kids ages 6-14. The cost of the camp is $275 per child. Science centers that offer similar summer activities to this can use brochure printing to make informative pamphlets about their camps for parents.
