Springdale to host Edgar Allen Poe-themed bar

The traveling Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy will visit Springdale in December at 308 West Emma Avenue.

Those who are fans of Edgar Allen Poe can visit an upcoming cocktail tasting experience where they can hear famous stories about the author from Poe historians. There will be four cocktails offered at the event, including the Cocktail of Red Death, Pale Blue Eye, The Nevermore, and Edgar’s Twisted Brandy Milk Punch. Each cocktail will be paired with one of Poe’s stories. The traveling speakeasy has visited many cities, such as Alpharetta, Orange Park, and Melbourne.

The speakeasy is organized by the Haunted Tavern, a bar led by the descendants of Ichabod Crane. The tavern offers guests spooky experiences through ghost stories told by performers. Many themed drinks are offered at the store, like the Final Encore and the Crimson Gemini. The cocktail experience travels to some of the most haunted places in the world to set up business. Companies similar to this may use flyer printing to tell consumers about their upcoming locations.

The Edgar Allen Poe Speakeasy will come to Springdale on Saturday, December 7th from noon to 1:30 pm. Tickets to the cocktail tasting and storytelling program will cost $45 per person. The bar will also visit Hot Springs, Arkansas on December 5th and December 6th. The event will end in January, with the final stop being Chester, New York.
