The Jones Center in Springdale will be holding an empowering workshop for women in August.
The Women’s Empowerment Workshop is a program created by Becca Ferguson where young women can meet with their peers and build their confidence. Ferguson will give a keynote presentation at the event, and there will be multiple breakout groups for attendees to join. There will also be exciting activities held at the workshop. Guests have an opportunity to win door prizes during the program, and the event has other surprises in store for participants.
Ferguson is a licensed professional counselor who helps people recover from trauma. She is also known for her series on YouTube where she provides advice to those who submit questions anonymously on her website. Ferguson graduated from Henderson State University in 2019. She uses Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing to help her clients. Her business also offers online courses such as The Wise Mind, The Window of Tolerance, and Self Care vs. Self Comfort.
The empowerment workshop will be on Saturday, August 26 from 9:00 am to noon. Tickets to attend the conference are $50 per person. The event will focus on developing coping skills, and the price of the course includes a take-home workbook.
