Many running events in and around Springdale have been scheduled for next month
The Hogeye Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, and 4-Person Marathon Relay has been scheduled for March 28. The Marathon and Half Marathon will begin at 7:00 am and start and finish on Emma Avenue on a course that will be USATF Certified and a Boston Qualifier. There will be an early start at 6:15 am for those that may need a little more time. Four-man relay teams will start at the 7:00 am time also. Participants will receive tech shirts sporting the event Logo Design and finisher’s medals. Special relay medals will also be awarded.
The 5K run/walk will begin in downtown Springdale on Emma Avenue at 7:05 am.
Before that, Fayetteville will have the Nutty Runner 5K on Saturday March 14. Participants will receive beverages in commemorative Pint Glasses sporting the event graphic design every mile, and at the finish line.
If participants choose to run without stopping for beverages, they can register for the Designated Driver 5K. They will also receive commemorative pint glasses. The 5Ks will start at 11:00 am at Square Gardens 1 W. St.
Also on Saturday, March 14, beginning at 8:00 am, Sign Speak Run will be a 5K and 1-mile fun run at Veterans Memorial Park, 4451 North Vantage Drive in Fayetteville. This race will benefit Arkansas Hands and Voices.
