Springdale runners will be lacing up four times for running events over the next few weeks.
A St. Jude 5K/10K Run/Walk will be around Lake Fayetteville on a paved trail. All proceeds will go to St. Jude’s Hospital. The 10K starts at 7 am August 25th with the 5K beginning 15 minutes later. There will also be a Raptor 10K/30K starting at 8 am in Fayetteville on September 16th and the Razor Run 15K/5K on September 30th beginning at 10 am also in Fayetteville.
These runs are just precursors to the one coming early in October. Springdale runners are working up their endurance and speed for the Downtown Runaround 10K/5K and 1 Mile Fun Run coming in early October.
This event will be family-friendly, and all races will end with after parties. Registered participants will receive T-Shirts sporting the event graphic design.
First to the starting line will be the 1 Miler dubbed “The Funnest Run”. The course will be along the Razorback Greenway. Strollers and dogs are invited to participate but must start at the back of the racers.
The 5K/10K runners will start next. Springdale Runaround medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in each of six age groups with a special award going to the overall female and male finishers.
Springdale Downtown Runaround will be October 6th. The 1-miler starts at 8:30 am and the other two begin at 9 am at the JTL Plaza at Jones Center
