The Inaugural Bentonville Bike Fest in Lawrence Plaza, 201 NE A Street, will have something for all regional bike enthusiasts.
Bike Expo will feature many bike-related businesses, associations and clubs. Bike fans who attend events such as these, often collect Business Cards from their favorite vendors.
Women Shred, an organization championing women in mountain biking, will have workshops form beginning bike skills, pre- and post-sports, novice, intermediate and advanced biking skills, and performance nutrition. Rides for women will include beginning, intermediate, and advanced, and a WOZ flagship ride.
Kids can learn to ride bikes in the Kids Shred. This activity will be for kids whose parents are participating in the Square to Square, Women of OZ, and Film Fest.
The Van Dessel Gravel Ride will be a six-hour 20-mile relaxing jaunt along Northwest Arkansas gravel roads. A panel of local gravel riders answering questions and giving tips on bike set up, strategies, food, and gear will precede the ride.
The 50-mile Guided Gravel Ride will tackle Ozarks’ rolling hills and is geared to the more experienced rider. The All American Race will have three events - the Toddlers Race first thing in the evening, the Men’s Race next, and finally the Women’s Race.
The grueling Pedal to the Medal Enduro will be the final event.
The Bentonville Fest has been moved from its original May date, and is now set to happen on August 7, 8 and 9.
