Those interested in benefiting local charitable organizations can participate in a marathon that will take place in Springdale.
The Hogeye Marathon & Relays is an event where people can run through the community and support local charities. The course will go past several landmarks in Springdale, including the city’s major parks and Lake Fayetteville Trail.
Runners will have access to aid stations every two miles on the course, which will provide them with water and diluted Gatorade. The organizers also will set up portable toilets throughout the routes at convenient places like relay exchanges.
There are multiple ways an athlete can take part in the upcoming races, such as entering the 4-Person Marathon Relay, Hogeye Marathon, or the Double Dare challenge. The Double Dare event will be free for people to join.
This year’s races will benefit local organizations such as the Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life, Meals on Wheels of Washington County, and the Jackson Graves Foundation. The Hogeye Marathon & Relays have raised more than $400,000 since its formation. Those in charge of races like this may share their causes to the community with banner printing services.
The races will be held from Saturday, April 15 to Sunday, April 16. The cost to join the marathon is $110, and the price for the half-marathon is $100. People can save money on the event by registering earlier than April 3.
