Springdale library to provide take-home art project

Springdale Public Library will be working with the website Creativebug this January to provide patrons with an artistic activity.

Creativebug Connection is a series made by the Springdale Public Library where guests can create art projects at their own pace from home. The theme for January will be Beginner Watercolors. The supplies people need for the project will be provided by the library. A video will also be posted on the library’s Facebook page giving participants an introduction and demonstration of the activity. The introduction video can be watched throughout January.

Creativebug is a website dedicated to providing access to several kinds of art and craft classes, including subjects like sewing, jewelry, and paper-related projects. Multiple talented artists work as instructors for the organization, such as Amy Butler, Carla Scott, and David Tenorio. Users who have a library card from the Springdale Public Library can access the content on Creativebug free of charge. Businesses offering instructional videos like these can market their website using Posters made via printing services.

Those interested in partaking in the project can pick up their kits from the library on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. There is no fee to register, but all participants must register in advance. Registrations will open on Saturday, December 19 at 2:00 pm. Only 10 kits will be provided by the library.
