Springdale holds Christmas on the Creek

Springdale will be holding its annual Christmas on the Creek in a few days.

Santa will be available for fireside photos at Shiloh Museum’s cabin. This will be a good time for parents to get Christmas pictures to local Print shops and Stationery printers for this year’s Christmas cards.

During the afternoon, little ones can ride the tiny train on Emma Avenue, write letters to Santa at the Christmas tree, and get their faces painted in Shiloh Square.

Shiloh Square will also be the location of this year’s Handmade Winter Market. Shoppers can collect Business Cards from their favorite artisans and contact them later for unique items and custom work.

Emma Avenue will be festive with lights, live entertainment such as the ACO Victorian Carolers, music, and the official tree lighting ceremony. Mayor Doug Sprouse will be present.

Everyone will be waiting for the 22nd annual Rodeo of the Ozarks Christmas Parade. This year’s theme will be ‘March of the Toys’. This year the parade will start at Parsons Stadium and end at Harris Street. The parade will include walking and equestrian units, floats, car clubs, marching bands, color guards and dance teams. Of course, Santa will bring up the rear.

Christmas on the Creek will be in Downtown Springdale, November 24 starting at noon. The tree lighting ceremony will commence at 5:30 pm and the parade will step off at 6 pm. Rain date for the parade will be Monday, November 26.
