The Third Annual Springdale Downtown Runaround is coming early in October. The event is geared to the whole family and will have a 10K (6.2 miles), 5K (3.1 miles), and one-mile fun run.
The fun run will take participants along the Razorback Greenway, while the 5K and 1K courses will be a jaunt through downtown Springdale, including The Jones Center, Shiloh Square, Luther George Park, and the Razorback Greenway.
All participants will receive the official 2018 Springdale Downtown Runaround T-shirt with the event’s graphic design emblazoned on the front. Those who run the 5K or 10K will also get course support and chip timing.
Overall male and female winners in each race will receive awards. The top three male and female finishers in each of the six age categories will also receive special Springdale Downtown Runaround medals.
At the end of all races will be a post-race party for all runners. Everyone can look forward to inflatables, music, and games.
Registration fees for the fun run will be $15, while fees are $25 for the 5k and $35 for the 10K. Those who registered before September 22 received a $5 discount.
The Springdale Downtown Runaround will be October 6 at the Jones Center at JTL Plaza. The one-mile run will begin at 8:30 am, and the 5K and 10K get going at 9:00 am. Dogs on leashes and strollers will be welcome.
