The 2019 Rotary Pig Trail Mud Run is coming in early June. Runners must be at least 14 years old to participate. Proceeds will go to the Rotary’s programs.
The race course will be through rustic underdeveloped Arkansas Ozarks. Runners will encounter underbrush, extreme hills, ponds and stream bed. The course is about 3.5 miles and there will be at least 15 obstacles.
Runners get commemorative medals, T-Shirts imprinted with the event’s fierce red boar Logo Design, swag Bags, and raffle tickets. Water, raisins and bananas will be available at a couple of points during the race and beverages will be available at the finish line. First responders, firefighters, law enforcers and military will receive $20 discounts on registration fees.
Although pig-related costumes get bonus points, any zany wear will do. The best dressed team will win a prize.
All runners and spectators are invited to the recovery party immediately after the race. Beat Bachs will provide the music, and there will be food.
Spectators are welcome and their admission will be free. Many who attend events such as this like to get some banner printing done so they have something to show their support for their favorite runners.
The Pig Trail Mud run will be June 1st and begin and end at Springdale’s Marachant Arena 9900 Marchant Road. Check-in begins at 7:00 am and the first flight will begin at 8:00 am.
