Lewis & Clark Outfitters and Buckmasters NWA have come together to host the NWA Freedom Ride. The event will have three rides from which to choose, with proceeds going to MDA Arkansas, 99 Balloons and Buckmasters MWA.
The first ride will be the Family Scavenger Ride. This 12-mile ride will have games and clues along the route. The route will begin at Lewis & Clark Outfitters, 4915 South Thompson Street, go to downtown Springdale, and return. The course will be practically all on the paved trail. Individuals and groups are invited to ride. Families and groups that participate in rides such as this often get a colorful T-shirt with a graphic design on the front for each member. This ride will begin at 9:00 am.
The second ride will be the Poker Run/Scavenger Ride. This will be a 30-mile ride leaving from the store and travelling through Springdale, Fayetteville, and Johnson. Riders will draw cards and play poker at each stop. The final tally will be at the end of the run. Other games and experiences will be along the path as well. This ride will begin at the store at 9:10 am and will be completed by noon.
The last ride at 9:30 am will be specifically for kids with physical challenges, including those in wheelchairs. Friends and family are invited to accompany the kids as they play games along the Greenway.
All racers must be at the store by 8:30 am this Saturday, June 29.
