The Springdale Civic Center will be holding a Whoville-themed holiday activity to benefit a local cause.
The Second Annual Whoville Holiday Extravaganza is an interactive experience where families can meet famous characters and take part in crafts projects. Children can see Whoville citizens like the Grinch and eat breakfast with Santa. The event includes activities such as writing letters to Santa, decorating holiday cookies, and creating ornaments. Families may also take part in dance parties and join interactive story sessions.
The program is organized by the Oasis of Northwest Arkansas, which is a transitional living community that helps women in recovery and their children. The organization provides women with employment opportunities, education, food, and clothing. Those who live in the group’s community must attend three meetings per week and meet with a sponsor. People can help the Oasis of Northwest Arkansas by volunteering as a mentor or providing meals to the organization.
The holiday extravaganza will be on Saturday, December 10 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Single tickets to the event will cost $12.50. There will be multiple time slots for the Whoville activity to ensure the program does not become crowded. Kids under the age of one may enter the extravaganza for free. Organizations in charge of festivities such as this may use flyer printing to share their holiday activities with others.
