The Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Arkansas Canoe Club will hold multiple winter practice sessions at its facility in Springdale.
The Northwest Arkansas Canoe Club Winter Pool Sessions is a series where people can connect with other canoeing fans and practice their skills in a comfortable environment. The meetings welcome those of all skill levels. Those who participate in the canoeing practice sessions must bring their own gear to the facility, and all participants are required to remove their airbags. All gear must be hosed off completely before being used inside the pool.
The Arkansas Canoe Club is a recreation group that has over 1,000 members across ten chapters in the state. The organization hosts paddling clinics, river cleanup sessions, and whitewater rescue courses. The Northwest Chapter of the club organizes events like canoe day trips, camping excursions, and group fishing activities. Jerrid Gelinas is the chapter president, and Alan Kearney is the vice president. The club hosts monthly meetings on applications like Zoom.
The winter pool sessions will be held on select dates from Saturday, November 25th to Saturday, December 30th. Those who are members of the Arkansas Canoe Club can take part in the practice sessions for free. Recreational organizations that hold events such as this may use poster printing to advertise the sessions to their members.
